Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of teache. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using teache, you agree to them.

Last updated: 8 July 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

teache ("teache", "we", "us" or "our") is a curriculum planning and assessment suite for Ghanaian teachers, covering schemes of work, lesson notes, records of work, tests, exams and marking schemes, operated by Utopia Group. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and teache governing your use of the teache website and application at teache.app and all related services (the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy and Fair Use Policy are part of these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use teache

The Service is intended for teachers and is available only to adults aged 18 or over who can form a binding contract. By using teache you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you use teache on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Accounts are personal to a single teacher and may not be shared. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

4. The Service

teache helps you prepare curriculum documents aligned to the NaCCA curriculum. We are actively building the Service out, and we may add, change or remove features from time to time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we may make some changes without notice where necessary.

5. Credits, pricing and payment

Certain actions in teache, such as generating documents, require credits. We may provide a periodic allowance of free credits, and you can buy additional credits in packs. The credit cost of each action and the price of each credit pack are shown in the Service and may change from time to time.

Payments for credits are processed by our payment provider, Paystack, using mobile money or card. By buying credits you authorise the applicable charge. Credits are a prepaid entitlement to use the Service, which means:

  • they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money;
  • they cannot be transferred to another account; and
  • free credits may expire at the end of each allowance period.

6. Refunds

Because credits give immediate access to a digital service, purchased credits are non-refundable once bought, except where a refund is required by law or where we agree otherwise at our discretion, for example if a technical fault on our side prevented you from using credits you paid for. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at [email protected].

7. Your content and ownership

The content you enter and the documents you generate in teache are yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display that content only as needed to provide the Service to you, including transmitting it to our AI provider to generate documents as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your documents and we do not use your content to advertise to you.

8. Learner data and your responsibilities

The content you create may include personal information about your learners. You are responsible for that information, for having the authority to process it, and for including only what is necessary for your planning. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Acceptable use

You must use teache lawfully and only as intended. In particular, you must not:

  • attempt to break, overload, probe or circumvent the Service or its security;
  • access the Service by automated or scripted means;
  • resell or commercially redistribute the documents you generate;
  • share your account or its credits with anyone else; or
  • use the Service for unlawful, harmful or infringing content.

These rules are set out in full in our Fair Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. AI-generated documents

teache uses artificial intelligence to help you prepare documents. AI output can contain mistakes or omissions and is provided to assist you, not to replace your professional judgement. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and approving every document before you use, print or submit it. We do not guarantee that generated documents are accurate, complete, curriculum-compliant, or that they will pass any vetting or approval process.

11. Our intellectual property

The Service itself, including the teache name, software, design and the curriculum data we have compiled, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not give you any right to copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer the Service or its underlying data, except the right to use the documents you generate for your own teaching.

12. Availability and disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” while we continue to build it. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind about the Service, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, teache will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using teache and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or the Fair Use Policy, or where necessary to protect the Service or other users. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will contact you first. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as content ownership, intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where the changes are significant, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
